Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple Cider Vinegar - How can I use it in the Garden?

To Kill Weeds.
Spray undiluted Apple Cider Vinegar onto weeds. Keep using on any new weed growth until the starvation of the plants.

To Improve Soil Acidity.
Mix a cup of Apple Cider Vinegar with a gallon of water, especially if you live in a hard water area. The vinegar will aid in releasing iron from the soil. Many plants flourish in an acidic soil such as Azaleas, Rhododendrons and Gardenias, but there are many more.

Remove Garden Lime.
As garden lime is highly alkaline, it's nessesary to remove it from your hands to prevent rough, flakey skin. Rinse liberally with Apple Cider Vinegar to neutralize. The same goes for old plant pots before they are re-used.

Increase the Longevity of a Vase of Flowers.
Use a combination of 2 teaspoons of sugar and 2 teaspoons of Apple Cider Vinegar in a vase of water.

Add Nutrients to the Soil.
Mix a 1:8 ratio of Apple Cider Vinegar and water. Then make an 8:1 solution of water and sugar. Add the two mixtures together and give to your plants for as long as necessary..

Patio and Driveways.
Apple Cider Vinegar effectively removes the dirt and moulds that accumulate on and between patio stones and driveways. Using neat Apple Cider Vinegar
will not only bring up the original colour, but also discourage grass, weeds and ants from colonising.
